How long is the lease agreement? 

The Retreat has limited spaces available for immediate move ins and can work with you on a lease end date that fits your needs. Please contact the office to discuss lease terms with our staff.

How many bedrooms are in the student cottages? 

The Retreat offers 17 different floor plans with 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 bedrooms. 
How many bathrooms are in the student cottages? 

Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. The Birchmore, Springmore, Rutherford, Cloverhurst, Stafford, Milledge, Lumpkin and Belmont cottages also offer an extra half bath. 


What kind of amenities does The Retreat offer? 

The Retreat offers a huge resort-style pool, beach volleyball, basketball courts, grilling pavilion; clubhouse with computer lab, fitness center, tanning beds, virtual driving range, pet spa, billiards, bocce ball, spa suite with manicure and pedicure areas, social room, & study rooms; private yards, porches & patios.
 
How far is it from The Retreat to the U of A campus? 

The site is located at 1000 E. 22nd Street and is approximately 1.8 miles from the University of Arizona. 

Does The Retreat come furnished with appliances? 

Yes. Each Retreat cottage comes furnished with every standard appliance: refrigerator with ice-maker, dishwasher, range/oven, microwave, and a full-size washer and dryer. 

Do the cottages at The Retreat come with furniture? 

While we have found that most people tend to prefer using their own furniture over the low-grade furniture offered by most apartment and townhouse communities, The Retreat offers a furnished option that will include complete high-quality living room and bedroom furniture.
 
Do the cottages have patios or porches? 


Each cottage has either a patio or deck (depending on topography), and some cottages have large front porches as well. 

How many parking spaces are provided? 

Parking is not reserved, but there is approximately one parking space for each bedroom plus one guest space per cottage plus additional guest parking. 

Are the cottages equipped with high-speed internet lines? 

Yes, the cottages are wired for high-speed internet and cable. 

What type of on-site security does The Retreat provide? 

The Retreat offers video-recorded surveillance and on-site management. In addition, the cottages are wired for alarm systems with additional monitoring service available upon request and at the resident's cost. 

For our tenants' convenience, The Retreat also issues electronic key fobs to each resident, which allow for a keying system similar to a hotel's in which each resident has one key that can be used to access his or her cottage as well as community amenities like the clubhouse and pool. This system allows residents to enjoy The Retreat amenities 24 hours a day. Maintenance persons are given keys that are programmed to work only during certain hours, ensuring that no one other than the residents has after-hours access to the cottages, and preventing the keys from being copied. Management can also check the time log to confirm that repairs were completed during the allotted time with the keys. 


Are pets allowed in The Retreat? 

Yes, most of our cottages allow pets, although an additional security deposit and cleaning fee may apply. 

How many square feet are in each cottage? 

The cottages range in size from approximately 1396 square feet (3 BR/3 BA) to approximately 2,390 square feet (6 BR/6.5 BA). See the dimension sheet for detailed measurements. 

When is rent due? 

Rent is due on the 1st of every month and is late after 5 PM on the 5th. You can bring your rent check to the clubhouse or pay online using our online Resident Portal. 

What does my rent include? 

Your monthly rent includes high-speed internet, basic cable, pest control, trash, lawn maintenance, and access to all of The Retreat's amenities at no additional charge. 

Is there insurance coverage in the event of a fire, theft or natural causes? Does my lease provide coverage for my belongings?

Residents or guest's personal property and vehicles are not insured under the apartment lease agreement. We do require that all residents provide proof of insurance against loss or damage due to fire, theft, vandalism, rain, water, criminal negligent acts of others or any other cause. You can purchase a Renter's Insurance policy for a modest annual fee or your parent's homeowner's policy may provide coverage. Of course, you may also obtain coverage through the property’s sponsored provider. Please ask the Leasing Office for more information.
